The story
Alongside its professional work, FEDUC puts its own resources directly into schools and children. Reading corners, school libraries and computers make classrooms richer places to learn; meals and relief help children stay in school when times are hard.
What we have done
- Buddhanagar school, Kathmandu (2077–2079 BS): daily snacks for 150 students from homeless families and 10 teachers for three years, plus learning materials, a desktop computer, two laptops and a printer.
- Earthquake response (2072 BS): cash to build temporary buildings for damaged schools in Kavre and Kathmandu.
- Children’s homes: food, learning and play materials for an orphans’ home in Bhaktapur, and ongoing food support to Gaurishankar Bal Mandir, Charikot.
- Play materials: outdoor games for Charikot Anathalaya and Purnamrit Secondary School, Waling.
- COVID-19 (2078 BS): food for 100 children of imprisoned parents at Kathmandu Jail.
- Flood relief (2083 BS): a contribution for Bhotekoshi flood victims through the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
