The story
In 2012/13 FEDUC used its own funds to launch an e-learning programme for primary and secondary teachers in public schools of Kavre district. The aim was simple: help teachers who had rarely used computers to become confident using digital tools to plan and teach.
What we did
- Prepared e-learning training materials for teachers.
- Built and prepared a team of trainers.
- Trained public school teachers in electronic teaching techniques in school computer labs.
- Documented the programme and reported the results.
Why it matters
Changing traditional classroom practice starts with teachers. By investing in teachers’ digital skills, the programme reflects one of FEDUC’s core objectives: developing innovative training models and teaching–learning materials that change how teaching happens.
The programme was featured in the national daily Kantipur under the headline “टिचिङ द टिचर्स” (Teaching the Teachers).
